Hi! You can think of it as similar to ZDL in the sense that it lets you launch Doom with different combinations of IWADs, PWADs and add-ons — but my launcher is much more powerful and includes many more features than ZDL.
ZDL is basically a minimalist launcher.
My launcher is a full Doom content manager.
Here’s what mine includes that goes far beyond ZDL:
✔ Built-in Engines
It already ships with several engines integrated so you can launch the game right away without installing anything externally.
✔ Mod, Add-On and Map Management
You can organize all your content, build presets, enable/disable items, and manage your entire library visually — not just load files into a command line list.
✔ Content Explorer / Downloader
The launcher integrates an explorer where you can browse community maps, add-ons, and other resources, and download them directly into your library. You can download contents from the official server and from ID Games.
✔ Preset System
Instead of building load orders manually every time, you can create presets with specific combinations of IWADs, mods, maps, and engines.
