I love the whole Warhammer universe. Never played any of the games, not tabletop nor digital. But I’ve watched a lot of lore videos and got a pretty low level understanding of the universe workings.
But, everything apocalyptic, dystopian or post nuclear is so interesting and World’s like in THE FOREVER WINTER, ravaged by war for centuries where the different parties forgot why they even fight against each other always have fascinated me.
In this Modcombo I used the absolutely incredible TRENCHFOOT total conversion mod and combined it with 2 additional ones. First the new BOTGUN 40K update and the awesome 40K ASTARTES NURGLE weapons mod. First I tried running it without the main TRENCHFOOT mod files. only the map. but that caused the engine to show these explanation marks all over the starting area.
With the main files and IDKFA it worked perfectly . Might even work without cheats since most of the items I’ve seen where from the weapons mod and not the total conversion. Yes, you can combine mods. I’ve once managed to run 15 monster mods in one modcombo. The GMOD one. Check my playlist for that one.
TRENCHFOOT is “just a demo” but what’s already there is so absolutely amazing that I can only pray the full game will be released one day. The amazing COUNTRYSIDE Demo, a continuation of TRENCH WAR, just got a new HORDE MODE DLC which I showed using the Astartes weapons mod. that reminds me I have to use this weapons mods here for the horde mode next.
The demo here, I played only 15 minutes, ended for me in a big “Hold the line” battle. Multiple stations overrun by what I can only describe as some of the best monster spriteworks in doom.
They fit the Warhammer aesthetic perfectly. The maps are highly detailed and won’t run well on anything lower than a snapdragon 888 if you dare to use anything face graphics related. So no RELIGHTING addon or so.
The new Update for BOLTGUN brings new idle animations, you can see one at the start, new gun sounds, new settings and more. Finally the weapons sound like actual weapons. And guess what. There are 2 hidden difficulties.Try them. one is definitely more fun than the other. depending on what you like 😉.
